Noshwell Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 May 2026
Noshwell helps users scan food barcodes and analyze meal photos for general nutrition-oriented insights. This policy explains what information may be processed when you use the app.
Information processed
The app may process barcode numbers, product names, ingredient and nutrition data, selected allergy preferences, app usage events, diagnostics, and meal photos you choose to analyze. Meal photos are used to generate nutrition estimates and are not intended for identity verification.
How information is used
Information is used to provide app functionality, such as barcode lookup, nutrition analysis, possible allergy warnings, product details, app reliability, and crash diagnostics.
Third-party services
Noshwell may use Open Food Facts for public food product data, OpenAI-powered backend services for AI analysis, and Firebase services for app analytics, remote configuration, and crash reporting.
Food data and accuracy
Nutrition values, ingredient insights, scores, and allergy warnings are for general information only. Product recipes and labels can change. Always check the physical product label before consuming a product, especially if you have allergies, medical conditions, or dietary restrictions.
Data retention
Noshwell does not require an account in this version. User preferences may be stored locally on your device. Backend requests are processed to provide the requested result and may be handled by service providers as needed for app functionality and reliability.
